Incentives of Spiritual Retreat

There are some key elements that may help to activate your spiritual session and to making it more beneficial, such as:

1-    Believe that the Lord is awaiting you and longing to meet with you. The bride says “I am my beloveds, and his desire is toward me. “ (Song of Songs 7:10)

2-    Expect the blessing that you will receive from the Lord in your spiritual session according to His promise “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” (Luke 11:9)

3-    Realize that the spiritual session starts in the night preceding that day and so you must prepare to sleep early so you may start early the following day.

4-    If you neglect your spiritual session for any reason, do not despair but restart your perseverance against the evil forces around you and say “Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; (Micah 7:8).  Confess to the Lord about your shortfalls.

5-    Be attentive to having your Holy Bible, Song Book and your spiritual diary notebook to record your contemplations.

6-    Keep daily record of the spiritual sessions active, for it will be there for you in the time of need.
